The Solar-Powered Path Lights made by Pifco are a versatile lighting system. The lights come in packs of two which can be placed around the garden either on the ground or on walls.
The Solar-Powered Path Lights have both spikes and wall mounting plates on them. Each light has a spike at either end of the item that can be used to secure the lights into any soft medium in the garden, such as grass edges to a pathway. These spikes can be folded away and the wall mounting plates, which are also located at either end of the lights, can then be used to secure them onto walls or even wooden steps. The lights can then be used in a variety of places around the garden.
Each Solar-Powered Path Light has two LED bulbs that produce a bright and powerful light to help illuminate any obstacles or features of your garden. The lights automatically turn themselves on as dusk falls, the solar panels then power the device with the energy they have managed to store over the day.
As the path lights are solar-powered there is no wiring to worry about. This does mean some thought must be given in placing the path lights as they will need access to sunlight to charge. Each light uses a single Ni-Cad rechargeable AA battery, this then can be recharged in a home charging unit if required. Each light measures 35cm x 4.2cm x 1.7cm (13.7in. x 1.7in. x 0.7in.).
Update 4th Jan 2011: Unfortunately, the Solar-Powered Path Strip Lights no longer appears to be available. If they become available again, we’ll update this article.
