Coca Cola and Eco Plastic are joining the hands together to make the plastic bottles reusable and eco-friendly. If someone thinks that plastic bottle cannot be used at the end of its shelf life, this is a misconception and you might be probably wrong.

Based on a joint venture between Eco Plastics and Coca Cola, the both companies will process the used drink bottles to make new plastic bottles in Hems well, North of Lincoln. Caron footprints will be reduced by continuum recycling venture from every bottle that would be processed, as compared to those bottles which have been produced first time.

Plastic bottles are greatest source of material pollution and great hazardous for our land and marine world. Although plastic bottles are disposable and offer benefits of carrying the items from one place to another, latest researchers have found the plastic bottles are greatest hazard due to increasing level of pollution. A new venture between two market leading companies is predicted to reduce the carbon footprints due to high use of plastic bottles and make the fastest recycling process possible.

Taking this scenario in the format of environmental benefits, this means saving 33,500 tons of carbon dioxide which would otherwise enter the atmosphere this year and same amount in next years and about 15,700 cars taken off the roads. Since demand for sustainable packaging has picked up pace over the years, this project will help accelerate UK plastics recycling. This project will address the recycling challenges and also help in reduction of landfills. This initiative will address the impact of packaging on the environment and also promote usage of recyclable and ecological products like bottles.

Getting the Go Green as latest global approach, investment of £5m coca cola will double the production of recycled PET (food grade) by twice of existing number. As part of wider sustainability efforts by companies today, this project will ensure twenty five per cent recycled PET in coca cola’s plastic bottles. This proves to be an important element in going green and focusing on a minimum-carbon and nil waste business.

Based on a contract of ten years between Eco Plastics and Coca Cola, this can prove to be a journey towards delivering minimum to nil waste to landfill games. This gives customers a chance to contribute their share in saving the environment and promoting eco-friendly products by using recycled bottles.
