If you have house plants, then you know it’s hassle to remember to water the plants all the time. If you don’t water the plants, they die. If you over-water the plants, you can get root-rot, and so the plant also dies. The Grobal self-watering plant pots take care of the watering for you. You just fill up the water chamber, and it will automatically add water to the plant soil to help ensure they don’t die from under- or over-watering.
The system works by using simple capillary action to draw water up from the 1-litre reservoir below the plant. As the soil dries out, water is “sucked up” and re-hydrates the soil. It appears that the soil has been designed to exploit the capillary action watering technique. As the water is used up, the simple clear plastic water level indicator can tell you when the water is running low.
The self-watering plant pots come in a range of colours. Each pot comes with the soil and nutrient packs. You just need to add your own plant!
